Focus Primary area of practice is Civil Litigation which involves; personal injury claims; disability insurance claims; medical malpractice litigation, and; employment / wrongful dismissal cases. Other areas of practice include; Real Estate transactions and Wills and Estates Bruce Chislett has appeared in both civil and criminal matters before Judges of the Provincial Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, (Trial Division and Court of Appeal) and the Federal Court of Canada. He has presented cases before the Newfoundland and Labrador Human Rights Commission, the Newfoundland and Labrador Workers Compensation Appeal Board and the federal Employment Insurance Appeals Umpire Tribunal. He has prosecuted and defended Jury trials on such charges as culpable homicide, trafficking and indictable sexual offences. He has, acting as Agent of the Attorney General of Canada, prosecuted charges under the federal Competition Act and Food and Drug Act.
